Raven
With the Raven harness you can finally free yourself
from the time consuming drive to launch. Take-off from practically any
flat field, zoom up, soar around and enjoy the flight. In flight, pilot/
bar position is similar to that of normal free flying harness, which makes
flying with engine on “or off” a much more pleasant experience . With
regards to performance we have also an increased overall thrust which
means lower engine rpm , less noise, vibration, and better fuel consumption
when cruising. The Raven harness flexibility and frame geometry
insure an easy upright position on both take off - and landing while proper
balance and frame structure give stability.
Auxiliary throttle control, engine choke, propeller brake and engine
kill switch are all easily accessible on our own design small shoulder
console. In this position you can “see and operate” the controls easily,
making for easy in flight operation. The Raven is the only harness offering
this feature since three years time.
Harness material is top quality and finished in tough Cordura on top
section for increased durability. Radio pocket, Camera pocket, and extra
side storage container all come standard as well as a full length inside
container which is just above the pilot. Side mounted parachute container
also allows the pilot to be positioned closer to the base bar for better
stability and control while “notably” increasing visibility and reducing
flat plate area for less drag.
Engine
The Raven uses the Radne 120 cc two stroke engine
which is modified with our own exhaust system which can include our own
design optional “serviceable” Carbon / Kevlar silencer system to reduce
engine noise. The reduction system is a tooth HTD belt drive which gives
absolute efficient power transfer with silent, clean / oil free operation
. All reduction gears are CN machined from solid light-weight alloy aluminum
for a tough dependable drive train.. Fuel tank is 5+ litres - good for
two hours of relaxed power flying - and much more in soaring conditions.
Frame
Frame design is strong and functional made from 7000 series
aluminum tubing ergonomically designed, TIG welded, and cured with
durable powder coated finish. The engine is mounted on 4 points with anti
vibration rubbers which increase safety, strength, and reduces overall
mechanical vibration transmission.
The Raven is available in 3 different sizes with special body sizes available
on request. Available Colors are Red, Yellow, Autumn Orange, or Blue,
with the Bottom section standard as black which is easier to keep clean.
